...Because it's the weekend!

Day 12:
So it's approaching midnight as i'm writing this...so don't judge my grammar.
Saturday was a study day.  Considering we’ve been here for 2 weeks and this is the first time I’ve really done any of that…. I'm thinking I should probably kick it up a notch.   But no matter, I was quite productive.  After morning errands, I spent the afternoon getting acquainted with these two:
(I didn't take any pictures today...Can you tell i'm stretching for visual aids)

Erasmus and Martin Luther.  Don't they look like such lovely people, whose writings would be super entertaining to read, especially when they are going on and on about the existence of Free Will?? (we’re like BFF now).  Anyway, I got the essay about them written. Only two more to go!  All due the 18th.  I love how teachers do that. Especially here…It is  not coincidence.  These people all live together, so they know what’s going on in each others’ classes!

After being studious for so long, we decided we deserved to go out.  So the girls went to GBK (Gourmet Burger Kitchen) and got some dinner.  I had a Mexican burger and Polenta fries (they were really good…mom you should make some…then they had sour cream with a spoonful of like sweet chili sauce to dip them in).

Day 13:
I shall call it Sunday Fail 2.0.  So remember last week's getting to church specialness???  Well, this week tops it.  So we were looking forward to church.  We were confident that we knew where we were going and that everything would be peachy keen--a piece of cake compared to last week.  Well so much for wishful thinking... we didn't even make it to church.  Go us.  The trip to the train station went quite smoothly,  however BlackFriars Station had it in for us.  The first thing you should know about the station is that it is currently under construction.  Everything's all closed up and you have to walk through a boarded up walkway thing to get to the one-and-only running platform.  Hardly anyone is working there (not counting the construction men), and there are no signs anywhere....not the marquee ones that say what train is arriving at minutes to arrivial...not even a sign posting the weekend train schedule.  And we were like the only 3 people waiting for trains.

So back to my story.  We knew from last week that trains to Penge East leave at 8:50 and 9:20.  We got there around 9:00.  So we settled in to wait for the 9:20 train.  At 9:05 a train came...it was heading south and the other girls wanted to take it, but being the smart girls we are, we knew that you can't just get on random trains, you can identify your correct train by the time it's leaving the station.  So we waited....and waited....and waited....soon it's 9:30 and no train has come.  At 9:35 one finally shows up so being the smart girls we are, we... get on it.  Not a good idea.  It starts veering off to a place we don't want to go.  So we got off at the next stop.  Then we decided to bag going to our church (cause we would get there half-way through church) and went back to the centre.  Luckily another group has 1:00 church so we went with them.  And i'm glad we did cause their Relief Society loved us (the girls actually in that ward got farmed off to YW and Primary) and gave us cookies.  They were sad when we told them we wouldn't be coming back.
Sometimes I get sick of smiling...

Got to get to bed Day trip #2 in the morning!  Promise to post about today and monday tomorrow. (wow I think I just confused even myself!) *Topics shall include: TopShop, Anthro, my aversion to crowds, Kitchen Crew, delicious candies, and "pure Animal Magic!".  Get excited.
Xoxo!
