Day 51: Tuesday night while getting ready for bed it was discovered that we had no hot water. Upon further investigation we found out that our boiler broke. Bad news bears. Especially when one takes into consideration...
A. Most of the girls (myself happily excluded) were running on 2-day dirty hair, and were planning on showering in the morning and couldn't.
B. No boiler = not heat in the building (I wore my scarf and sweatshirt to breakfast the next morning).
C. The day was cold enough that we had freezy breath.
It was a bad combo. Luckily, there was a large supply of dry shampoo to mask the girls' greasy hair, I had plenty of handwarmers to keep me warm, and our professors eventually took pity on us and the next day put up a signup sheet to use the showers on the faculty side.....In case chatting with your teachers over breakfast isn't weird enough try hopping in their shower! I'd definitely say our relationship has reached a new level!
(I am happy to report that by the time we came back from our daytrip Friday it had been fixed.)
For our Wednesday Daytrip we went to Sandham Memorial Chapel, Jane Austen's House, Salisbury Cathedral, and then to Stonehenge! Have to study the most ridiculous study guide known to man (I feel like the term study guide is applied rather liberally, as it is not so much a study guide as it is a comprehensive list of everything we have ever mentioned in class to date)... so no play by play, but enjoy the pictures !
I played on this piano
Her oh so famous writing desk (not that cool actually...)
Salisbury Cathedral
