so here's a glimpse of lovely days one, two, and three (jk we're up to five now) in London!
(mind you, pictures are S-L-O-W to upload, so you only get a few)
Day One:
after a lengthy plane ride, we made it to London!
(don't mind the blurriness)
Day Two:
Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, V&A Museum, Harrods, and The National Portrait Gallery
i can now navigate by foot, tube, and bus
and then...we saw this!

it was a fun show! really liked it, minus the Elle's Ms.Piggy voice. really that's what she sounded like!
Day Three:

so we could go here...
and get some of these...
they were good!

first day of classes. religion and humanities. after class we went shopping for a few school supplies, and found a great little gelato place. however, Nan and I didn't get any because we took a detour on the way home and went here...

Day Four:
no pictures. we went museum-ing. yes I just made up my own gerund. stopped and got haagen dazs...and sustenance for saturday...you see they don't feed us that day.
that night we went to the hyde park young single adult dance. We got the party started...like literally. there were only 10 people inside dancing when we showed up-everybody else was milling outside or in the hall..however they soon joined us...however don't know if that's cause they thought our dancing was cool and looked fun or if it was mostly just to gawk at the americans...hmmm. they were all very chatty and quite nice though. and i made them talk in an american accent for me...bucket list wish fulfilled!
Day Five:

Saturday!!! Went to Portobello again today...sooo many people. It was fun though--lots of stalls lining the street and street performers too! next up lunch outside at yummy Italian place in Leicester Square followed by....
LES MISERABLES matinee! it was wonderful. i loved it. and would very much like to see it again. maybe twice. preferably better seats.

homework was supposed to happen next...but a trip to Tower Bridge/Tower of London seemed like more fun. and it was all lit up for the night. i enjoyed the outing. and so that brings me to now. where i am sitting in bed contemplating the 25 minute tube ride + 5 minute walk to Blackfriars station(the tube doesn't go directly there as the stop is closed till 2011)+ 18 minute train ride + 5-10 minute walk to get to church. oh and not eating till 6PM. we'll see how that goes.
Xoxo
