...Because of cupcake-making companies!

Day 19: Went to Camden Market in the morning.  Lot’s of the students had been before so I’d heard good things!  I was totally let down.  Or maybe I’m just a market snob.  It was just one of those markets with the same stuff at every booth.  They did have lots of clothes, and some funny shirts, but most of them were entirely inappropriate.  Entirely.  And the salesman…. They immediately swarmed you if you showed the slightest interest in anything.  Like every time we pointed or touched something they jumped on us like a starving fat kid would candy.  For that reason I mostly just walked around with my arms folded so as not to give any signs.  I hate pushy sales people.  Even at nice stores.  Just hang around quietly so if I need to ask you for help I can, but don’t attack me.  So… pushy saleman + way talked up market = mad that I got ready to leave at 9 when I could have been sleeping.
 Our thoughts afterwards

 Funny shirt I found

All together 8 of us went.  4 of us left early because we were some what disenchanted with Camden.  Apparently there was another part of the market that we missed, so say the other girls, and it has the good stuff…so perhaps I’ll make a return trip.

The day wasn’t ruined entirely though...

Outside the cupcake shop
It's way close to the centre
(just walk down Bayswater towards Notting Hill Gate, take the first left and there you go)
Now is that good or bad??

We had noticed a cupcake shop on the bus to Giraffe the other day and decided we should try it.  It took us a few tries to remember which left to take off Bayswater (and we may have walked down the same strip back and forth like 3 times….), but it was effort well rewarded.  They were the best cupcakes.  Period.  I think they take the cake.  (Okay that was totally unintentional and I’m really debating deleting that sentence 'cause now I sound corny. ) They beat Hummingbird (but still go there to try the carrot and the black bottom cause those are yummy) and yes they even beat Sprinkles.  Sprinkles vanilla could maybe hold its own, but the rest are out. The Cupcake Co. wins the overall.
I had a lemon.  Nan purchased: red velvet, vanilla, and banana.

Finished the day by going to dinner at Tuk Tuk.  It’s a Thai place, and it was actually really good.  And the service is amazingly fast.  So despite the day starting out on a low note, it ended on a high!
Xoxo!
