You shouldn't label people, just blogs...

...Because I'm in college and I still get to go on fieldtrips! (To awesome places like Glastonbury, Stourhead and Bath, I might add)

Day 37:  The best thing about traveling through England is that it never disappoints.  You hear how beautiful the country is or how cool this or that site is, and so naturally you form certain expectations. However, I am happy to report all my expectations have been met and in some cases surpassed.  You know, I keep waiting to go somewhere and think, "huh... this isn't as great as it was talked up to be."  But it hasn't happened!  England is the BEST!  I love my life.

Yesterday was my favorite day trip yet-look at the pictures and you'll see why. In fact,  I'm pretty sure you will look at them and wish they were like Bert's chalk drawings, so you could jump into them Mary Poppins-style and enjoy them too! ----->

So take a look and be envious!
Stop #1 Glastonbury:

Glastonbury Abbey Ruins

King Arthur's grave!!

Then we climbed the to 'the Tor'.  It was actually a bit of a hike.

The view from the top!

Stop #2 Stourhead:  This is where the Kiera Knightly version of Pride and Prejudice is filmed
Recognize the bridge?

Where the proposal took place in the rain--lucky for us we had glorious sunshine!  (actually when we left London it was cold and raining so we had prepared for bad weather...3 hours distance makes for a drastic change in weather)

About 3/4 of the group

The view from the little temple thing

No, these aren't photoshopped--they are straight from nan's camera (I had the rotten luck to forget mine)

Who doesn't enjoy a good frolic?

"Hi my name's Caroline.  I just turned 20 and I still climb trees..."(for the record it was covered in nasty wet moss and it got all over my pants. Go me.)

Little holiday cottages one can rent for a weekend...I would totally stay here!

Stop # 3 Bath aka Bahhh-th (best when spoken low in a hoity-toity accent):  Not many pictures from Bath...but that is not because I didn't enjoy it--cause I did, immensely.  It feels like a small town but it's actually pretty big.  I loved all the shops and the rows of houses (like in Persuasion).  Other Bath highlights include: *visiting the assembly rooms and feeling very 19 century/ Austen-esque and getting a pasty pah-stee for dinner*

Roman Baths

Sorry this post was a lame read...however it is full of fabulous pictures so I think that makes up for it!
Xoxo!
